The stage is transformed into a fully interactive space. All movement and all sound is transformed into
beautiful and dynamic digital images, video, and lighting. BACKFIRE utilises some of the newest forms of
interactive technology, allowing performers to improvise with each other and connect through realtime
generated visual.
BACKFIRE is a collaboration between Maize Wallin (director), co-composers and musicians: Eli
Simić-Prošić, Emile Frankel, Aaron Klein, dancers: Ellya Sam and Kyall Shanks, and digital artist:
Stuart Gillespie-Cook.
