3D Planet and music that you control!
Using a Launchpad, you control four elements, with four quadrants of light up pads. Ice, Fire, Cities and Trees. Explore their sounds and play them together on screen.
We have exhibited this piece as part of the Maldives Exodus Caravan, curated by Søren Dahlgaard, which has toured Federation Square in Melbourne, and Gdansk Arts Centre in Poland. Most recently, we exhibited at Arts Centre Melbourne's Channel for Open House Melbourne.
This piece came out of mine and Thom's work in Charlie Marshal's Sublime concert. We altered it to make a stand-alone playful audiovisual instrument. Thom works in Unity.
Each quadrant explores different textures and timbres in loops and sound effects reminiscent of the four natural elements on the Terraphone Planet. Each loop also contributes to a revolving harmonic rhythm inspired by the naturally occurring harmonic series.
